A delegation from the UOK, which includes the deans of the faculties of Jurisprudence, Basic Education, Education, Political Science, Law and Archeology and Heritage, with a delegation from the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research, encompassing the General Director of the Department of Research and Development, participated in the Deliberative Training Session held in the Jordanian capital, Amman, for the purpose of granting the UNESCO chair to the UOK.
Dr. Ibtesam Al-Madani, the dean of the Faculty of Basic Education, confirmed that the project addressed the sectarian conflict in Iraq and finding its proper solutions, which was adopted by the Faculty of Jurisprudence. While “The Unified Memory Project” was taken up by the Faculty of Basic Education. The remaining faculties each stuck to their own specialty.
The Department of Research and Development at the Ministry of Higher Education has prioritized this project, especially being a national project for the whole of Iraq, and which is embraced by the UOK. Adding that the ministry has expressed its readiness to support the project financially and morally.
