DIT (Dublin Institute of Technology) announces FREE 3-week open online course (MOOC) called pharmaMOOC, commencing on 13th May to give technical people a brief insight into the complexities of how to manufacture pharmaceuticals safely.
This is the first MOOC in Ireland and it is being targeted at a global audience, especially with a view to promoting Ireland’s reputation as a global centre of excellence for pharmaceutical manufacturing. The idea of a MOOC is better understood in the US than in many other developed nations, as the term MOOC was coined there by illustrious academic institutions including Harvard, Stamford and MIT, to describe how to share learning freely through online courses.
This pharmaMOOC is entirely made up of technical training materials from our online e-biopharmachem, e-validation and BSc in the Manufacture of medicinal products courses and it is relevant for operators and technicians working in pharmaceutical and medical device manufacturing companies – – as well as being a good introductory course for new graduates who may wish to enter the pharmaceutical industry.
This free course is suitable for chemistry, phamacy and medicine students in our Uniiversity. Further details can be found on the DIT website at:
