University 's vision
University of Kufa
is a thought and knowledge institution which can
create the future multi-faceted a scientific, frames
in the light of society's need to invest the great
Islamic heritage which characterize the Glorious
city of Najaf as a deep linking bridge to kufa
school's heritage and represent this fact both
scientifically academically .
University 's mission
The mission of the
university is to offer scientific, teaching ,
research and consultative services in the light of
local societal , regional and international needs.
It also goals at developing knowledge storage in
the filed of scientific research to attain a
competitive , feature with ever- lasting creativity
and high quality .
University 's Goals
1- To graduate
specialized staffs able to serve society and devise
for future specializations.
2- To establish and invest the mutual cooperation's
between kufa university and other regional and
international universities.
3- To offer
consultation for solving technical and scientific
problems required by the society and government 's
institutions.
4- To develop the
administrative competes as and abilities in the
university by enrolling the staffs in different
programs.

capabilities of the university .

behaviors in all scientific and knowledge fields.

development and to employ the scientific research

counties experiences in different fields.
History of AL Najaf And Kufa
Al-Kufa an Arab city was founded by Moslems during the Islamic conquests , it lies between Al-Najaf mound and the Euphrates it was called by this name for the nature of its red sandy soil mixed with pebbles ;therefore; Arab call any piece of land that has such features by this name , it is also said that the first who named it was Saad bin Abi Waqas (an Arab leader) when he wanted to build the city; he said (Takwefo “ camp here ” in this place.

there is a symbol of Al-Kufa mosque gate and at the lower part lies the name of
the university ,on both sides there is an inscription of establishment date of university in both Moslem and Christian calendar , as for the upper part of the logo
