Educational Sport Directorate
is one of the vital units at university in serving its students by means
of holding a lot of sport activities and supervising them through providing
their successful requirements like sport supplies and other equipments ,as it
sponsors all kinds of sport activities inside colleges through its related sport
units different local championships are held, as for the university ,Sport
Directorate undertakes the mission of presenting the university sport
activities

Duties
Holding the
university championships among
colleges teams of football , handball, basketball, volleyball , chess, ping-pong
, tennis , and quill. m
The participation in the Iraqi universities and technical learning institution championships for all kinds sports held by
the ministry/the
scientific staff of supervision and assessment with with the help of academic
sport union.
3.Sparing no effort for hosting the Iraqi universities
and technical learning institution championships on the university fields .
4.Maintaining sport fields and providing sport supplies for
colleges and university teams.
5.Offering different courses for the
Educational Sport Directorate staff that are supervised by training teachers specialized in sport
training , biomechanics , psychology , teaching methods and other kinds of educational sport sciences.
6.Making every effort for the sake of openness on society and
showing the importance of sport by holding educational symposiums and
lectures in this respect .
Most Important Achievements of University Teams at Academic Championships
1.The
participation in many championships of
different games at the nineties and getting advanced positions in them.
2.The
first position in track and field games in the Iraqi universities
championship that was held in Al-Mousl Governorate in 2001.
3.The
fourth position for girls in track and field games in the Iraqi universities
championship that was held in Al-Mousl Governorate in 2002.
4.The fourth position for boys in the Iraqi
universities championship in football competitions that
was held in Al-Basra Governorate in 2003.
5.The
sixth position for boys and fourth one for girls in the Iraqi universities
championship in volleyball competitions that was held in University of
Kufa in 2001.
6.The
fourth position for girls in flying quill competitions in the Iraqi universities
championship that was held University of Kufa in 2002.
7.The
first position on the Iraqi universities
in handball competitions that
was held on our university fields.
Most Important Championships That
Was Held on University of Kufa Fields
1.The Iraqi universities and technical learning institution championship in volleyball in
2001/2002 with the participation of 12teams for boys and 7for girls.
2.The Iraqi universities and technical learning institution championship in volleyball and flying
quill in 2002/2003 with the participation of 10 universities with teams for both boys and girls.
3.The Iraqi universities and technical learning institution championship in volleyball in
2004/2005 with the participation of7 academic teams for boys.
4.The elimination of the Iraqi universities championship (southern region) in football , handball , and tennis
competitions with the participation of 7 universities.
5.The
Iraqi universities finals in handball with the participation of 4 universities :(Kufa , Private
Al-Albeit , Mostansiria , and Technology university).
Educational Sport Directorate
Structure at University of Kufa
1.A Head of Sport Directorate with two
assistants the first takes over the administrative affairs and internal sport
activities and the other is responsible for sport training affaires and outer
activities.
2.The following are joined to
the administrative assistant in addition to their relation to the head of Sport
Directorate :( administration director , sport store director, academic sport
hall supervisor, media official and sport games coaches at colleges)
3.The following are joined to
the assistant of sport training affaires and outer activities in addition to
their relation to the head of Sport Directorate :( coaches of university achievements in different sport games
for both boys and girls).
4.Coaches of games at colleges and
they are responsible for the application of
Educational Sport Directorate programs regarding the preparing of the sport
teams for the university
championship , holding the internal championships of departments at their
colleges and the participation in coaching
the university teams of different games when asked to.
