In the name of Allah, the most gracious, the most Merciful, Prophet Moses said "My Lord open for me my chest, ease my task and loose the knot from my tongue so they can understand my speech" Surah Ta-ha verse (24-27) in Quran.
It is an honor and privilege for me to be here addressing you as the president of the University of Kufa. This university has a bright history; spreading the light of science and knowledge, and beating away the clouds of darkness and primitiveness. I have proudly been a part of this university since it was first established during the dark dictatorial and totalitarianism regime. I stand here proudly as we watch it flourishes and go from strength to strength by the hands of all those who work within.
The University of Kufa is a shining beacon that illuminates the roads of many generations. It stands between two great holy cities; Najaf and Kufa. Najaf is the housing of the shrine of Imam Ali (peace be upon him), and Kufa being the capital of Islam during his reign.
Islam is a religion of science, education, moral guidance and works synergistically with all the studies, theories we have today and inshallah in the future. The University of Kufa provides a promising future for the youths; combining education with faith and culture. This is essential for the continuation of this glorious faith of Islam and always strives to achieve even higher goals whilst raising the standards of scientific study. I pray to Allah (SWT) to grant us the strength to overcome all obstacles, and courage to stand up for what is best and right for this University, its students, employees, and all those who set foot in it.
