| The Faculty of Political Science at the University of Kufa held an educational seminar titled "Political Parties and the Problem of Basic Functions in Comparative Political Systems" (The Role of Bipartisan and Multiparty Model), where the lecturer (Dr. Mohammed Hassan Dakhil) attended a number of faculty members. The Political Parties represent influential organizations in public opinion, state administration and political life, as they perform several functions. Researchers differ in the pros and cons of political parties. The political parties are categorized according to several categories, most notably the bipartisan two-party power, which leads to multiple results, the most important of which is the political and governmental stability as well as the multi-party system, which indicates political and governmental instability.
- The need to study political parties and the different benefits of their advantages.
- The need to benefit from partisan systems and the possibility of successful implementation of them.
- The possibility of developing partisan systems in line with the realities of the political life of states.
- The need to strengthen the democratic reality in the political parties ..
Party presence in constitutional systems is linked to ideologies, and most constitutions have merely referred to the party's goal, its importance and left the rest of the arrangements and conditions to the internal laws to regulate them. The importance of the parties in that they reflect their choices and directions and expresses their views and perceptions to organize the community in the different positions and solve its problems.
Moreover, the parties act as intermediaries between the masses and the ruling authority and thus have more opportunities than individuals to communicate the new ideas and preoccupations with the proposal and are able to achieve the desired interest directly to this authority.
In this context, some political science researchers insist on the need to abolish the political parties as a whole, in their opinion, from destroying democracy, distorting public opinion and eliminating the most important means of democratic participation: the initiative and the popular referendum. |
