The Faculty of Political Science, at the UOK, recently ended a three-day lecture which was held in collaboration with the UNESCO Chair under the title (Democracy and its Concept). The lecture was delivered by Prof. Eric Davis, a professor of postgraduate studies at the University of Rutgers in the US specializing in Middle East affairs and Iraqi political history, as well as Dr. Roland, researcher and expert in democratic affairs and head of the Democracy Fund in the US.
The lectures, which extended for three days, witnessed the attendance of faculty students from all stages. They focused on the democratic structure of countries and how to form the three authorities through studying the experiences of a number of countries in the world similar to the Iraqi situation.
The two guest speakers were highly impressed by the outstanding academic level of students and their interaction with the topic.
