Dr. Ahmed Obeis Al-Fatlawi, a professor from the Faculty of Law at the UOK, issued his new book entitled (The Problem of Conventional Weapons: Between the Efforts of the International Community and the General International Law).
The importance of this study is present in light of the International Humanitarian Law with both its Customary and Treaty Law, as well as in light of jurisprudence and legal studiousness according to the findings of the author.
The author pointed out that the study falls into three main chapters, the introductory chapter discusses the international principles linked to using conventional weapons.
While the first section dealt with the restriction or prohibition of the use of certain types of conventional weapons under international instruments.
The second section studies the impact of the Ottawa (1997) and Dublin (2008) Agreements on the future of conventional disarmament.
