The Department of Philosophy – Faculty of Arts – University of Kufa arranged a scientific seminar on the biography of the Dr Ibrahim Al-Atea. Dr Ibrahim gave talk about his intellectual life and his philosophical and literature ideas, studies and theses. This seminar was attended by Dr Hanna Muhsen Al-Ogaily ” Dean of Faculty of Arts” and staff member with faculty students.
Dr Ibrahim Al-Atea born in 1949 in Al-Najaf Al-Ashraf City and received his B.Sc. degree from the Department of Philosophy and Sociology – University of Damascus. The he completed and finished his M.Sc. and PhD degrees from the Department of Philosophy – University of Ain Shams. Through his presentation he highlighted his childhood in Al-Emarah district of the old city of Al-Najaf as well as his love and passion for poetry and poet.
Dr Al-Atea gave a detailed explanation for his intellectual philosophical life that he spent abroad. Also in his talk he showed his interest in study of philosophers from different eras and countries.
He showed the importance of the Al-Najaf City and the impact of its intellectual and cultural environment on his scientific personality and led him toward the love of philosophy and wisdom in all countries while he was studying or working.
Dr Ibrahim Al-Atea worked at University of Coniteana – Algeria and University of Nassir – Libya. Since 1992 Dr Al-Atea is a professor at the Faculty of Sharia and Director of Graduate Studies and Research – International University of Islamic Sciences in London. Dr Al-Atea mentioned his various publications which have been represented by “the World Perceptions of the Islamic Principle and Thoughts” and “The Time in Islamic Thoughts” in the Philosophy of Al-Farabi, along with other various and different studies.
