A delegation from the British University of North Hampton visits the UOK to discuss scientific cooperation and open up the door for twinning between the two universities.
The President’s Assistant for Scientific Affairs, Prof. Dr. Asaad Al-Janabi, confirmed that the meeting included the discussion of stabilizing the foundation of cooperation between the UOK and the University of North Hampton and opening up the prospects of twinning between them in the field of mathematics and computer science. In addition to the development of educationally scientific programs for students and lecturers, and at the same time discussing the possibility of welcoming students from the UOK, the Faculty of Mathematics and Computer Science, at the University of North Hampton for a period of one or two years. Dr. Al-Janaby added that “It has been agreed upon putting forth a draft for cooperation between the two universities, with the aim of signing a full agreement on a later date.” For his part, Dr. Ali Al-Sharbaz, the the head of the delegation, confirmed that the cooperation with the UOK includes joint programs for postgraduate students, research missions and teaching staff development programs.
These meetings and agreements come within the UOK”s quest towards cooperating with universities in the developed world to ensure the upgrading of the scientific level and the university’s international classification within global universities.
