In the presence of a number of political and academic figures, as well as deans of faculties and members of the Scientific Hawza, the Faculty of Administration and Economics at the UOK organized a workshop entitled (Strategies for Reducing the Phenomenon of Cheating in Exams; the Jurisprudential, Administrative and Legal Dimensions). The workshop studied the phenomenon of cheating in Iraqi universities from three aspects, namely: jurisprudential, administrative and legal. This was done so as to reduce the expansion of this bad phenomenon which has spread recently in Iraqi universities.
The workshop included a speech by Dr. Atif Al-Sadoon, the dean of the faculty, and another by Mr. Mohammed Sadiq Al-Karasan, a professor at the Scientific Hawza in Najaf province, in which he referred to the phenomenon of cheating within the jurisprudential framework. While Dr. Hakim Mihsin Al-Rubaie, a professor of business administration at the faculty, stressed in his speech that cheating is rejected socially, legitimately and legally. Finally, Asst. Prof. Dr. Saeed Ali Al-Shibli, a professor of law at the Faculty of Law, presented a lecture on the legal dimensions for the penalty of cheating.
