On the occasion of its first anniversary, the Faculty of Constructional Planning holds its first scientific seminar about the Constructional Planning and its essential role in serving the Society, and with the participation of many researchers and specialists from the ministry of Planning and other Universities of Iraq.
Under the patronage of the Minister of Higher Education, the conference discussed more than 35 researches concerning the actual role and importance of Constructional planning and its major effect in the development of countries, fulfilling the agricultural development, the features of the constructional planning in the old cities of Iraq, the requirements for preserving the heritage, and environmental effects of the solid wastes in the city of Al-Koot.
The researches dealt with the problems of Slums, the urbanization of Al-Dejeil town, and other researches that discussed the Constructional Planning and how to make best use of it in order to build a better country.
The seminar lasted for two days, and included a lecture by Dr. Kamil Al-Kinani about (Planning and Development; Concept, Dimensions and Policies), through which he came into contact with the individual need of pre-planning that is based on the elements of time, place, aims and priorities.
The Minister Representative of Universities Affairs, who attended the conference, Dr. Muhsin Abid Ali, emphasized the importance of Constructional planning considering it a feature of a developed and modern country for it is directly related to the needs of human and how to fulfill them according to the Sustainable Development and preserving Human resources, and its major importance as an independent scientific field of its own theories and applications.
