As part of the events of the “Fifth Cultural Week”, which is hosted by the UOK for the fifth year in a row, and with the participation of 17 public and private universities, the UOK witnessed the opening of the events for the “Bank of Information Contest”. The opening took place at the Hall of the Faculty of Medicine at the UOK, with the participation of students from the universities of Babylon, Mustansiriya, Al-Iraqia, Mosul, Nahrayn, Karbala, Kufa, Jabir Ban Hayan, the Technical Education, and a number of private and official faculties.
A source in the preparation committee mentioned that the contest lasts for three days in the halls of the faculties of Engineering, Dentistry, Medicine, Administration and Economics, and Mathematics and Computer Science. Also adding that the nature of the cultural and scientific questions were put together by professors specialized in scientific, humanitarian, religious, and historical journals, those which contribute to the development of the student’s mind. The opening was attended by the President’s Assistant for Scientific Affairs, Prof. Dr. Asa’ad Al-Janabi, and a number of deans and faculty students.
