A professor from the Faculty of Engineering, at the UOK, participated in the “Water Pollution Conference” which was held in Britain. The researcher Dr. Hussein Al-Bahrani stated that his participation was mainly a research that dealt with remote sensing for water quality of the Euphrates River, for irrigation purposes. He explained that the idea of the research focuses on using remote sensing technology for spatial prediction of the Euphrates River’s water quality, for irrigation purposes. Dr. Al-Bahrani also pointed out the importance of using such technology to analyze water quality in places inaccessible by the usual methods. It is worth noting that this research was published in (WIT Transaction of Ecology and Environment). The journal, and sponsor of the conference, is a scientific one which deals only with scientific researches in the field of environment.
