In a ceremony attended by the President of the UOK, a number of deans, professors and students, the Faculty of Education at the UOK witnessed the presentation of “Al-Tufoof” play. The play is written and directed by Dr. Salam Al-Araji, and acted by Dr. Wisam Al-Mutairi and a group of students from the Department of Art. The dean of the faculty, Dr. Basim Jrew, stated that the play is the embodiment of the Tuff incident which occurred in 61 AH. It is also an attempt to pass on the details of the incident to the next generation. The display of the play coincided with Imam Hussein’s fortieth anniversary, in order to recall the epic Tuff battle.
For his part, Dr. Wisam Al-Mutairi, the lead actor, confirmed that the Husseini revolution is still ongoing, and the enemies of Imam Hussein are still present, and they are the ISIS terrorist gangs. After the theatrical performance, there was an art exhibition displaying a number of paintings by students and professors from the Department of Art.
