UNIESCO Delegate visited the UOK for Scientific and Research Collaboratio

The visiting team was represented by the Director in Iraq and met with UoK president, vice president for scientific affairs, another member represent by deans and faculty. The visiting team were willing and ready to support all university activities including university research centers including Ibn Sina. They also discussed the possibilities to open center for religious dialogue as part of college arts. In addition, discussing about preparation for the international conference about civilization dialogue was apart of the talk in this meeting. Both sides emphases and stress on the initiative and activities that can help to reduce the confects to enhance the culture of peace and dialogue. The discussions were also including the challenge facing modern Iraq in term of air pollution and desertification (i.e., dust, haze, soil degradation, sand dune movements, sand storm, and others).

The Dean of Faculty of Basic Education also contributed addition comments to the general discussion.  

The President of the University “Prof Dr Akeel Abid Yasseen” showed his willingness to continue this collaboration between UoK, other Iraqi universities, and UNESCO. Last, Dr. Akeel presented a copy of oldest version Nhaj Albalghah back to 1200 years.
