The President of the UOK, Prof. Dr. Akeel Abed Yasseen, warmly welcomed a delegation from Karbala Center for Studies and Research, which is affiliated to Al-Husseini Shrine.
The Center specializes in reviving the archeological heritage of the holy city of Karbala through various research and studies.
The two parties discussed ways of strengthening the scientific and research collaboration between the two institutes. During the meeting, Dr. Yasseen presented a detailed explanation about the university, its activities, and its growing interest in holding symposiums and conferences that seek to promote national unity and defy sectarianism.
For his part, Sayyid Zaid Abed Ali Kathim, head of Relations at the Center, praised the university and it’s great accomplishments, including its acquisition of the UNESCO Chair, and its huge interest in the problems facing society.
