The Vice-President for Administrative Affairs at the UOK, Dr. Mahdi Al-Sahlawi, welcomed a delegation from the Directorate of Youth and Sports in Najaf province to discuss the prospects and means of joint cooperation between the two sides.
Student scout camps and various sporting events are only some of the initiatives which seek to uplift the sports reality in Najaf.
Dr. Al-Sahlawi pointed out the need to pay attention to sports and recreational activities in Najaf and give it due care worthy of its history.
Also, stressing the role of spots in uplifting the young spirits and spreading the culture of love and cooperation, as well as preparing healthy tolerant generations, since they represent the foundation stone for the construction of the country.
It is also worth pointing out that most recently the UOK was able to obtain permanent membership for Iraq in the International Council for Health, Physical Education, Recreational Sports and Kinetic Expression.
