The Vice-president for Administrative Affairs, Dr. Mahdi Al-Sahlawi, stressed on the importance of forming agreements with international universities.
This step would highly contribute to the development of the academic level of the university.
This took place during his meeting with a delegation from the British Queen Mary University.
The meeting included the discussion of possibilities to activate scientific programs so as to implement a number of joint scientific programs between the two universities.
In particular, the twinning project will include several scientific disciplines, including communication engineering and mathematics.
Dr. Al-Sahlawi called for the expansion of strengthening ties with British universities, especially after the success of the twinning experience with Leicester University.
For his part, the representative of the delegation, Dr. Yasser Al-Fathil, expressed the keenness of Queen Mary University to get into closer ties with the UOK, due to its outstanding scientific achievements, especially at a global level, and which have culminated in obtaining the UNESCO Chair.
