The Dean of the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine at the UOK, Dr. Ahmed Al-Azzam, recently represented the higher education sector in Iraq at the Fourth World Conference on Veterinary Education.
The event was organized by the World Organization for Animal Health (OIE) in the Thai capital, Bangkok.
Al-Azzam stated that the conference was attended by representatives from all around the globe and included several topics about updating curricula to meet the requirements set by the organization (OIE Guideline).
Furthermore, it emphasized that the curriculum is to focus on qualifying graduates through gaining skills on One day Competencies.
The organization also declared its heading of the twinning programs between veterinary colleges in different parts of the world.
Seeking to hold more than one meeting with representatives of veterinary medicine colleges around the world so as to exchange information and experiences, which will then contribute to raising the level of veterinary education in Iraq.
