The Faculty of Agriculture at the UOK began an afforestation and planting campaign. It included the establishment of a garden for flowers and plants, and making organic fertilizer from the barns of the Department of Livestock for the purpose of land reclamation and planting seasonal and permanent decoration plants. As well as preparing agricultural land for the cultivation of crops such as tomatoes, eggplants and 500 fruit trees varying from berries and pomegranates to figs.
A source at the faculty pointed out that the afforestation campaigns involved all lecturers, students and staff. Also mentioning that the faculty intends to offer some of its meat and chicken products for sale and at low prices.
